Beaches, Lagoons and Paragliding in Ölüdeniz

For relaxing, catching a tan and forgetting all stresses in life, beach holidays are unbeatable. Ölüdeniz, situated on the South West Coast of Turkey can be the perfect beach destination for you to visit with the exceptional scenery, sandy beaches and turquoise ocean. Not to mention, you also get the chance to throw yourself off a mountain and paraglide to the beach.

Ölüdeniz is very much far from being a traditional Turkish town, it has been marketed towards tourists, with fake Western shops and the classic full English breakfast on the menu and so, if you were looking for a place to stay which is rich with Turkish culture, food and traditions Ölüdeniz, unfortunately, does not have this to offer.

However, unlike with most tourist destinations, you cannot totally eliminate Ölüdeniz from places you must see. All these aspects are not the main focus or attraction of the beautiful resort village. The breath-taking natural beauty of make this worth the trip regardless, the famous and protected lagoon, the gorgeous white sandy beach and the green mountains surrounding the entire resort make this one of the most picture-esque places you will ever visit.

The main attraction is the insane paragliding opportunity you will be given, everywhere you look paragliders will be in the air and landing, in fact you have to be careful where you are standing because, in all honesty, paragliders do not aim their landing very well. It really is an incredible sight to see, and an even better one to experience for yourself. Babadag Mountain has made its name for being one of the highest commercial take-off sights in the world. Launching yourself from the 6,500 feet high mountain, you will have the chance to see Ölüdeniz the way the birds would. Stable weather conditions and the most amazing scenery make this one of the most perfect paragliding spots you could ever wish for. A beach getaway with quite an exhilarating twist.
